Taylormade Japan 2014 GloireRescule is made to match the new Gloire line of clubs that combine great distance with forgiveness.  The Gloire Fairway Wood features a stainless steel constuction with a high strength face for a crisp feel.  It features a slightly smaller head size than the previous model for easy control and a lower profile design to help launch the ball higher.  The face shape is a new design that matchs the driver's more oval shape which helped create a larger hitting area for added forgiveness.  

The new Gloire Fairway Wood features a "Speed Pocket" design.  This refers to the weight port and channel in the sole of the club that helps create a strong high launch.  It has a single 7 gram weight port placed right below the sweet spot to give it a low center of gravity for easy high launch.  The channel is located close to the face which assists in adding a great rebound effect  at impact to help maximize ball speed at impact.  The channel also helps absorb some vibrations at impact to create a consistent feel with each shot.  

The new Gloire Fairway Wood comes standard with a new GL2200 carbon shaft.  It features a new "Nanoalloy" technology which is a special weaving pattern of the carbon sheets which helps prevent deformation during motion.  NS Pro steel shaft is also available.
